LO2:Plan an interactive media product
Interactive media product:
The interactive media product that I will be creating is a website for my clients business. This business that the website will be based around will showcase/inform new customers about the clients business. The website will also act as another way for customers/potential customers to contact the client.
Target audience:
The target audience for this will be aimed around customers/potential customers who will want to find out about the business. This means that the website will be aimed at an adult audience that will need a gardener. In terms of the audiences age for the website it would be aimed at a more elderly age group who are unable to do their own garden anymore. For the geographic location of the customers they will be local to Doncaster as most of the customers are already located around this area.
Purpose:
The purpose of the website is so that people who need are gardener will have somewhere to find the client It will allow them to read about what the client does and could even showcase the client in different gardens. Another purpose of the website is that it will allow for customers to contact the client if they are interested in the work he does and if they need a gardener.
Client needs/user needs:
The client needs an interactive website that allows customers or future customers to look at. This will help the client and allow the users to look at the type of work that the client does and will also allow for them to contact him if they are interested or need a gardener.
The user needs are that they need an easy to navigate website that informs them about the work that Bradshaw's Greenspaces does. The website will let the user click onto sections like the gallery to look at other customers gardens but it will also tell people all the information they may want to know in order to contact the client.
What does it need to do/Budget
The information that will be on the website will need to inform people/customers about the work that the client does in gardening, this means the information can be split into categories so that it can be easier for the to navigate on the website. This means that it will need to show images that showcase the work being done and also the promotional video which will be something interactive for the people that are looking on the website. In the platform budget there are factors like copyright or royalties, meaning that when making the website all images/videos need to be original and not taken from the web or created by someone else. Another factor is hosting (website hosting) meaning that once the website is finished you can publish the website files onto the internet so that anyone who has access to the internet can then see the website. There will not be a budget for the website meaning that when its being made I will need to use all of my own resources in order to create a website.
The pages that will be on my website consist of:
Home page
-Home page will show the promotional video of the client as this means there is some interactivity on the website when people click on it
-The homepage can also include the garden services that the client does
-It can also include an online enquiry which will let customers write questions/comments to the client which he will then be able to answer for them
Gallery
-will showcase the front and back gardens of some of the clients customers gardens
Maps
-This will pin each location where the clients works so that people an go onto the map and look at the areas he works within
Contact information
-this will include information like email and phone number so that people have somewhere they can contact the client if they are interested.
Sitemap of website:
The clients needs are that they need a functional website that allows for people to easily access it and navigate around. The client may want it to give people an overview of their business and then showcase all the work he does at different locations. They may then want a way for the potential customers looking on the website to contact the client if they are interested.
The users needs are that they need an easy to navigate website that can allow them to easily view what the client does and how they can contact him. This means that they'll want an easier way to find the information they want to then contact him.
The way that these will be met is by keeping the overall design of the website simple and easy to navigate for the clients customers. The way that I will meet these needs is by making sure throughout various stages that the website is still easy to navigate. The way this can be done is by giving various designs to customers of the client and asking them what they think about the design of the website.

Visualisation Diagram
The colours of the website will be a simple mix between a green, white and grey. The top section will be green so that it makes the headings stand out more from the website and the green is used as it matches logo and fits the theme of gardening.
The background of the website will be a light grey so that when people click into the website it does not make it overwhelming but also it keeps the overall design simple for people on the website. This will make other section of the website stand out better for people who are using the website.
The images will show the different locations that you click on the map. When clicking on the map and selecting a location it will then show either the front garden, back garden and the before and after so that people can look at some of the gardens the client does.
The sub sections of the website will remain white so that they stand out for people to see and that when people are navigating around the website they'll be easy to notice from everything else that is on the website.
The font on the website will be large black text. The reason for this is because it will make it easier for people to read and will stand out more than the green and grey the that will be on the website. This font will be arial as it is a basic font that is easy for people to read.
